About

The Tetrahedron Workshop is an international conference focusing on 3D meshing technologies and any topics with a strong link with 3D mesh generation in the context of concrete industrial applications. Considered topics are all kinds of surface and volume mesh generation methods (unstructured and structured), high-order mesh generation, parallel mesh generation, adaptive meshing methods, moving mesh methods, and computer-aided design. The conference also focus on the place of mesh generation in industry. Another of the goal of the Tetrahedron Workshop is to gather both theoretical and practical specialists in the field of meshing technology for numerical simulation in industry.

This eighth edition is organized at Imperial College London by Joaquim Peiró and David Moxey. The previous editions were hosted by the Weierstrass Institute in Berlin in 2005, by INRIA Rocquencourt in Paris in 2007, by the Swansea University in 2010, by Politecnico di Milano in Verbania in 2013, the University of Liège in 2016, INRIA Saclay Ile-de-France in 2019, and BSC-UPC in 2023.

Attendance is by invitation only; attendance is free thanks to our generous sponsors. Travel expenses, logging and subsistance are at participant’s own charge.

Room information

All talks will be held in the City & Guilds Building (CAGB), lecture hall CAGB 300. You can access this building via the main entrance of Imperial College London's South Kensington campus. For details on finding the campus, see here.

After entering the main entrance on Exhibition Road through the revolving doors, there will be someone to greet you at the main entrance and a banner for the Tetrahedron workshop. The entrance to the City and Guilds building is located just after the reception desk, on the left. From the main foyer of CAGB, you can take either the staircase up one floor, or the lifts to the 3rd floor. If taking the staircase, CAGB 300 is immediately on the right hand side. If taking the lifts, turn right and follow the signage.

Lunch and food options

We will serve lunch for each day of the event as detailed in the schedule below. Lunch will be served in room CAGB 309, which is nearby to the CAGB 300 lecture hall. The conference dinner will be held at Ognisko restaurant on Tuesday 14th July: see the table below for details.
